The Marizane is a family homestay at Pagalnala in Sissu, with a clutch of rooms, a balcony and terrace looking onto the mountains, and a relaxed, pet- and child-friendly feel. There's a kitchen and a BBQ area, breakfast on request, and a caretaker on hand.

A short hop from the Atal Tunnel and Rohtang, it's an easy, good-value base for the Sissu waterfall and lake.
