The stay
Often called the first homestay in Lahaul — running since 2010 — Sumnam is a family house in Sumnam village above the Tandi sangam, where the Chandra and Bhaga join to become the Chenab. Three rooms with attached washrooms, the Manali–Leh highway on one side and the Udaipur–Killar road on the other.
The welcome is genuine, the food is home-grown and home-cooked, and the setting is one of the most storied in the valley. A quietly central base for both the Keylong and Pattan-valley roads.
