Overview

The stay

The Crest is an eco-friendly homestay in traditional Lahauli mud-house architecture at Shashin in Sissu, surrounded by apple orchards. Two cosy rooms make up an independent first-floor unit, each with an attached bathroom and a shared balcony looking onto the mountains.

It's the easiest way to spend an evening with a Lahauli family — home-cooked food, a bonfire, butter tea and the quieter, lived-in side of Sissu, about an hour from Manali through the tunnel.

  • Traditional mud-house build among apple orchards
  • Two rooms, each with attached bath & balcony views
  • Bonfire, hot water, Wi-Fi and parking
  • Complimentary breakfast and tea
