Overview

The stay

A family-run camp (brothers Rajesh & Vijay Chand) beside the Keylong highway at Sissu, Goldrop is the easiest first night in Lahaul to reach — barely twenty minutes past the north portal of the Atal Tunnel, with the Sissu waterfall across the river.

Tents come with beds, warm quilts and an attached toilet, hot-water bags at night, and buffet breakfast and dinner. Because it's so quick from Manali, it suits travellers who want one foot in Lahaul without a long drive.

  • 20 minutes from the Atal Tunnel's north portal
  • Tents face the Sissu waterfall across the Chandra
  • Buffet breakfast & dinner, bonfire evenings
  • Easy, low-effort introduction to Lahaul
