The stay
Running since 2005, The Jispa Journeys is one of Lahaul's larger, longer-established camps — a spread of Swiss cottage tents and a couple of huts on around 25 bighas facing the Bhaga river, just off the Manali–Leh highway at Gemur–Jispa.
Days here are quiet and unhurried: tea on the lawn, walks along the river, an on-site restaurant for warm meals, and cold, star-thick nights. It's a natural first or last halt for anyone driving on to Baralacha, Sarchu and Leh.
- Established Swiss-cottage camp with attached baths
- On-site restaurant, room service & tour desk
- Riverside lawn facing the Bhaga and the peaks

Getting there & season
- — 1From Manali, drive over the Atal Tunnel to Sissu, then on past Tandi and Keylong — roughly 3 hours / ~90–100 km in all.
- — 2Jispa is about 20 km beyond Keylong on the Manali–Leh highway; the camp is signposted on the river side of the road.
- — 3We can arrange a trusted local driver from Manali — mention it in your request and we'll quote the trip at cost.
Roughly May to October, while the high road is clear. July–August are green and warm; September brings the clearest skies and cold nights.
Good to know
- At ~3,200 m, take the first day easy to acclimatise.
- Nights are cold even in summer — bring a warm layer.
- Mobile network is patchy; some Jio/BSNL coverage in Jispa.
- Carry cash; card and UPI can be unreliable this far up.
