Overview

The stay

Brokpa Atisha pitches 16 deluxe canvas tents — twelve Swiss and four vintage — on the bank of the Bhaga at Jispa, every one with an attached bathroom and round-the-clock hot and cold running water. The river is on one side and the mountains close on every other.

It keeps the feel of a smaller, owner-run place while offering hotel-style comforts: 24-hour room service and a doctor on call for the altitude. A comfortable, well-kept base for the road north.

  • 16 tents (12 Swiss + 4 vintage), all attached baths
  • 24-hour hot & cold running water and room service
  • On the bank of the Bhaga among Jispa's fields
  • Doctor on call — reassuring at altitude
