The stay

The Hidden Jewel is a registered family homestay in Khangsar, a short diversion off the highway near Sissu, with snow-peak and glacier views. Rooms have wooden flooring and a tandoor for warmth — classic doubles and a family room sleeping up to a dozen between them.

Breakfast, dinner and evening tea are included, and the Ghepan Ghat trek starts right from the village. Bathrooms are private but external to the rooms in the traditional style.
